These past few weeks, we saw an unprecedented level of massive layoffs hitting the service and retail industry.

Many of these hard-working folks are maxing out credit cards and soon won't be able to afford basic necessities or food, even though they may be able to stay in their homes without having to pay rent for the next month.

As we wait for the CARE Act payment and unemployment checks to come to everyone, some of them need to eat today.  Funds have recently become available on a GoFundMe campaign to pay for meals specifically to go to these people.  Eat Americana on Balboa Street graciously agreed to start creating fantastic meals for $10 each, and we have distributed meals starting from 3/30/2020.

Thanks to our neighbors' generosity, we are now able to offer even more selections from more restaurants in our neighborhood who can also use the increased business, keeping more people gainfully employed.
